Conversion of existing Farmhouse and adjoining barns into one single dwelling.
The brief was to totally renovate a dilapidated farmhouse & 4 attached barns to provide a layout for a single family dwelling within the existing structure of a traditional Yorkshire Farm range of buildings, including a new double garage.
A development for the client
This entailed carrying out a survey of the property, preparing schemes for the approval of the client, as well as the CDC Planning and building control department and obtaining all the necessary approvals including full site supervision, for a total renovation of the property including new floors, major structural repairs, and under floor heating from a new ground source heat pump installation. Replastering through out, new staircase, floors and retaining as much of the existing structure as possible. One barn was extended to include a wall of glass to take advantage of the stunning views.
The accommodation included large bedrooms & en-suites, open plan kitchen, living, dining area, Home Cinema Room and Gym.
