Rear extension to form improved living accommodation.
The brief was to form an extension to the rear of a semi-detached dwelling to increase the living space within the rear kitchen. The new accommodation would include an entrance lobby and a ground floor cloaks room. The kitchen was extended into the rear extension by the total removal of the rear wall and sliding folding doors were installed to take advantage of the natural light and views.
This entailed carrying out a survey of the property, preparing schemes for the approval of the client, as well as the BMDC Planning and building control department and obtaining all the necessary approvals.
